Spring Sewing Swap!
I'm not usually a joiner, but I really like the idea of the Spring Sewing swap, where you're matched up with another blogger and you swap sewing related items. I was lucky enough to get Erin from F Is For Flamingo as my partner, and I really did luck out!
No doubt I could have used this Jean-a-ma-jig when I was making my jeans, but I'm sure there'll be another pair to try this gadget out on, and it'll work for any lumpy seam.
Erin noticed that I like to record my sewing machine settings, and she sneakily managed to get Sandra Betzina to do this for me with every fabric ever created. I don't know what she paid Sandra Betzina to do this, but I think she might have broken the $22 limit on the swap!
Then she somehow figured out that I love to cook, and included the Pike Place Market cookbook too! Erin - do you happen to know people in the NSA? She just couldn't have known (because I haven't included the information in any recent emails - how far back does the NSA spying go exactly?) that the Pike Place Market has very fond memories for me, because my husband and I visited it the first summer after we'd met. I can't wait to cook up some of the lovely stuff in here.
And last, but most certainly not least, the most lovely red rayon challis print I've ever laid my eyes on. It's got a really nice hand, and it doesn't rumple up like the rayon's I've come across in the dodgy ML Loft. Best of all Erin's got some of this yummy challis too, so we can be fabric buddies.
Hope all the other swappers out there got as good a deal as I did!
